Lovers of rock music, check this out!
Photographer Simone Cecchetti has released a new photo book.
For those who do not know him, Simone Cecchetti is an Italian photographer. Based in Rome, he takes pictures at the famed Stazione Birra music club, where a large assortment of live bands and solo artists come to entertain the Roman audiences. Stazione Birra attracts a very high quality roster of artists, both acoustic and “plugged-in” electric, so Simone had a very rich and varied palette of photographs to choose from at the end of the nine year period it took to accumulate the material for this book.
In this book, both onstage “live music” and offstage “real world” or “posed” photographs are showcased. An exquisite usage of light and shadow in the black and white images brings them to life as much as their equally refreshing and stunning color counterparts. Men and women grace these pages, and Simone’s appreciation of perspective brings out their most unique features.
I have seen a lot of Simone’s past material. If what is in the book represents what he feels is his most passionate and referential work, this book is a must-have for the serious art or photograph enthusiast or lover of good rock & roll.
