Screen Shot (because Paul’s art is cool!):

I remember Mr. Big but I was not really a guitar guru… So I have not seen this guitar until now.

What’s nice about this guitar?

It’s a jewel (sapphire) blue, with hot pink faux f-holes and reddish pink pickups. The color is drop-dead gorgeous. A 1-pc. neck is a great thing in these days of using strips of wood all laminated together (like the 5-pc. necks). So that is really nice; it does not skimp on materials. I believe the inlays on the neck are called Sharktooth; they are plain white and not abalone or anything fancy. The pickups are genuine DiMarzio’s, and you get three of them! That gives you lots of switching options to vary your tone in many different ways. It has a locking tremolo, so your guitar will stay in tune for ages and ages, and you can do cool divebombs and other whammy bar effects; again this gives you more options in your musical works. Lots of metal players really like jumbo frets, and there are jumbo frets on this guitar, so this guitar ought to be good for metal as well as for rock, and whatever other genres you want to utilize it for. It’s a new and genuine PGM, too! Have fun.

More information: The stock number is PGM100RE, and only 300 of them will be produced worldwide, with America getting 120 of those to various sales territories (source is IbanezRules, a vendor of these guitars).

There’s a Quicktime video of Paul talking a little bit about this re-release on the Ibanez website. It stars Paul and his Ocicat, Oscar. It was probably filmed after the European tour concluded. I have included 2 screen captures for you.

Check that out for sure.
